Children’s Day By: Noel Singson Father of Santi, Kinder B Children’s Day 2018 at Rosemont celebrated the theme “Who are the people in your neighborhood?” in which the classrooms were artfully transformed into little worlds from storybooks, songs, and nursery rhymes. Dressed in costume as princesses and pirates, a gymnast and a surgeon, a wizard and a dog – as well as few M&Ms – the children went on their adventure. The children visited the barbershop from Anong Gupit Natin Ngayon? where Tatay would work wonders with his magic scissors. Eboy was nowhere to be found and perhaps was out daydreaming about his next hairstyle. Hi-Ho the dairy-o! The children then visited the farm from The Farmer Plants the Seeds featuring fresh fruit and vegetables grown with the help of the Sun and the Rain. Heading one farm over, the children paid a visit to Old MacDonald and his many, many animals. A short walk around the corner brought the children to the pizzeria from Pizza at Sally’s. Hungry customers were arriving as Sally and her ginger feline helper were twirling pizza dough into the air. Whoosh! Next stop was dessert at Cake on the Bus, a playful mashup of Wheels on the Bus and Pat-a-Cake, where the children were treated to baked goodies.
