The latest data released by AiG points to a somewhat fragmented outlook for the building and construction industry. Non-residential building activity is expected to remain subdued into 2016, but in contrast, residential building activity is forecast to remain solid into 2016 supported by elevated approvals, low mortgage interest rates, strong population growth and urban transport infrastructure developments. With this encouraging outlook for 2016, we wish all of our members a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, and pass on our gratitude for the excellent work the team at the AWA secretariat have done on our behalf during 2015. Please remember that it is that time of the year again for AWA board member elections in the north and south and Scholarship applications. You will find information regarding both inside.
