In conclusion, this trial confirmed that the installation of 3M PR 70 solar control film is a very effective solution for reducing the internal heat loads at the 7-Eleven store in Robina. Less heat coming through the glazing means lower temperatures inside the store, protecting perishable stock from direct sun light and increasing customer and staff comfort. An additional benefit of installing PR 70 is the reduction of heat loads in the afternoon when the peak electricity loads are the highest, resulting in lower demand on HVAC systems which could lead to energy savings and lower electricity bills.
