Burrells Jewellers opens in Winchester
I
NDEPENDENT family-run
jeweller Burrells is opening
a new fine jewellery and
watch boutique in the heart of
Winchester in August.
Recently named the ‘Best
Place to Live in Britain’ by The
Sunday Times, the Ferris family
selected Winchester for its close
associations to the company,
which has its roots in the city.
The new boutique will sell a
luxury offering of prestigious
watch brands, including Tudor,
Breitling, Omega, Tag Heuer,
Chopard, Blancpain and Mont
Blanc. The boutique will also
present a curated collection of
pre-owned watches and Burrells’
own collection of fine and bridal
jewellery, alongside prominent
brands Mikimoto, Marco Bicego
and Georg Jensen.

Managing director, Edward
Ferris, said: “It’s always thrilling
opening a new boutique,
especially when it’s in your home
town. We are delighted to be
bringing Burrells and an extensive
collection of prestigious brands to
Winchester. There will be a new
design concept for the boutique,
which will include a private
shopping suite.”
This is the second Burrells
boutique in the group’s portfolio,
following the business’ takeover of
Burrells in Tunbridge Wells in 2014.
To celebrate the opening,
Burrells has invited renowned
Army Officer, polar explorer and
adventurer Sir Ranulph Fiennes to
a venue in Winchester (which was
being confirmed as the magazine
was going to press) as guest
speaker.
Burrells would like to offer
local students, schools, colleges
and universities the opportunity
to enter a competition to meet
Sir Ranulph Fiennes during the
afternoon on September 20.
