the Future
Since its foundation Winchester has relied
upon benefaction.The donations received
in the past have made the School what it
is today: the land, the buildings and
the collections all contribute towards a
Wykehamistâs education.
To ensure that Winchester can
continue for future generations, we
must carry on seeking support for the
School. The many experiences that
make a Winchester education unique,
such as the personalised admissions
process, our ability to attract academic
staff of the highest calibre, Div as our
unique intellectual base,
the still strong House system and
of course the beauty and tranquillity
of our setting and buildings, all come
at a cost. The reality is that as a
School we receive in fee income less
than we need to spend.
