20th Anniversary Giving Campaign 2016 is WIN’s 20th Anniversary! Help us celebrate 20 years for standing for justice in our communities by helping us increase our capacity for the next 20 years! In 2016 WIN is inviting those who know and respect our work to invest in our organization. We plan to raise an additional $90,000 from increased dues from existing WIN institutions, dues from new members, and contributions from individuals and corporations for Friends of WIN. $40,000 in new and increased dues $20,000 in new Friends of WIN individual donations $30,000 in new Corporate Grants & Sponsorships WIN is offering businesses that contribute over $500 space for a message or ad of your choosing to be published in WIN’s 2016 20th Anniversary Adbook and Annual Report. We will distribute the Adbook and Report through all our 36+ member congregations and institutions, which have over 125,000 individual members. We will also make it available online to our membership and on our Website. Donations are tax deductible as a charitable contribution or as a business expense. How can I give? We offer a variety of ways to give. We encourage you to consider a recurring gift in installments every month or quarter. Over the Next Four Years • Grow to a sustained 4-person organizing staff + Admin Support • Build & preserve 1,000 units of affordable housing & ensure the construction of units of Short-Term Family Emergency Housing to replace a shut-down DC General • Secure $400 Million+ for the Housing Production Trust Fund & full funding of the District’s plan to End Homelessness by 2020 • Demand allocation of public land for affordable housing • Turnaround the District’s high unemployment rate in distressed neighborhoods by initiating DC 1,000: to place 1,000 returning citizens and residents of high unemployment areas in living wage jobs (at DC Water, in the hospitality industry, and other fields) by 2017 • Initiate a regional transit workers campaign to raise wages & invest in WMATA service improvements • Initiate a community safety & policing accountability campaign + $40,000 + $20,000 + $30,000 9
