My work as a Naturopath and Nutritionist is deeply rooted in a holistic approach that aims to heal the body from the core cellular level. One thing I have seen in women again and again throughout my practice is that over time without proper self care and attention, their reproductive system which is, all hormones, the pelvic structure, womb and associated organs, the bladder, kidneys and adrenal glands, become compromised. This often manifests as pelvic floor prolapse, overburdened nervous system, exhaustion, thrush, infections, hormonal imbalances, back pain, headaches and lowered passion and drive; just to name a few.

All through their pregnancies I see women nourish theirs wombs emotionally and energetically, embrace the hormonal changes, work on their pelvic floor, consciously watch what they are eating and move and stretch the body in ways that feel good. However, as soon as that little being enters into the world all attention and energy goes into them and this is where so many mothers start neglecting themselves. It is not until a couple of months later that women start to feel the effects of depletion on a physical, emotional and energetic level, and this can be hard to navigate on all different levels.

I learned through my own personal experience during those first few months and beyond, just how crucial it was to restore my body and reproductive system as quickly as possible in order to heal from birth, stay in an

empowered and balanced state and be the best mother I can be for my daughter. The natural healing effect of the human body has always fascinated me (so much so that I built my whole career around it), and after my birth I really saw just how incredible the body is at restoring and rejuvenating itself when you put it in the right environment to do so. If you give your body what it needs, it will look after you; especially through pregnancy, birth and beyond. It is crucial that we, as women, practice self-care in order to be empowered and in our highest potential state of being. Here are my top ten tips:
