The Willow & Clo Story,
Willow & Clo is an award winning Irish jewellery brand created by Chloe Townsend. Chloe’s inspiration
comes from nature and the wonderful landscapes she encounters on her travels. This can be seen
throughout the brand as glimpses of nature encapsulated in beautiful pieces of jewellery. Chloe’s passion
for jewellery stemmed from the beautiful stories that Jewellery inspires and the sentimental connection
that it creates. She tries to show this throughout her pieces by creating them in collections; all her pieces
are designed with a story from its inspiration. This gives Willow & Clo’s jewellery a timeless quality and
yet they are utterly of the moment as Chloe worked as a jewellery buyer for three years before launching
her own line, this was a fantastic experience as she saw all the trends first hand and really learnt what
woman wanted.
Chloe learnt the art of making jewellery in the Scuala D’Oro in Rome, Italy. After her goldsmith training
here she went on to study design at the GIA in London. Seeing all the beautiful stones in the GIA led her
to travel to India to seek unusual gemstones for her collections. Whilst there the inspirations for her
collections really started flowing and that was the beginning of Willow & Clo. Influences from her
travels are evident in her pieces as she can’t help but be influenced by the wonderful places she visits.
All pieces are handmade using 2.5 micron layers of 22Karat gold plating and semi-precious gemstones.
She also creates collections in Sterling Silver and 22Karat Rose gold plating. Chloe maintains very high
standards and all pieces are finished to the highest quality.
Willow & Clo is stocked alongside some of the worlds most renowned designers such as Alexis Bittar,
Shaun Leane, Monica Vinader and many more. As of 2014 Willow & Clo is stocked on the fabulous
jewellery hall of the prestigious department store Brown Thomas, this is due to the success her jewellery
received whilst taking part in “CREATE”, a month showcasing Irelands top designers in the luxurious
store.
Willow & Clo has enjoyed considerable success such as winning “Irish Accessory Designer Of The Year
2014” at KFW (Kerry Fashion Week) which was judged by notable figures in Ireland’s fashion Industry.
There is also a buzz around the brand with people such as Ellie Goulding, Princess Beatrice & Eugenie
and Amy Huberman wearing Willow & Clo jewellery. Her jewellery pieces have been featured in several
showings of “The Voice” and on “Xpose” as well as “Off The Rails”. It has also been featured in several
fashion magazines including Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Image and Elle.co.uk which has raised a lot of
awareness and interest in the brand. The official launch Willow & Clo and the online store happened in
November 2012 and interest is still growing due to the exquisite designs and high quality finish of
Willow & Clo jewellery.
