James Coover has joined Wildcat District as our new Crop Production Agent. Please help me welcome James to the district! While James will be headquartered in our Girard office, he will be rotating around the district on a regular basis to meet the needs of agricultural producers.

James earned his bachelor’s degrees in Agronomy and Hotel and Restaurant Management and his master’s degree in Agronomy, all from Kansas State University. He is currently the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent in Dickinson County in Abilene, KS.

We are so excited about the knowledge base James will bring to Wildcat District in regards to agronomy, agricultural economics, and precision agriculture. If you need to contact James, you may reach him via our Girard office at 620-724-8233; [email protected].

In other news, we are entering the time of evaluation. This year, you will receive an email from "[email protected]" with a link to an online survey to provide feedback to each of the local agent's performance evaluation. This link will also provide you with an opportunity to review supporting documents for each agent vs. a printed copy as you have had in the past.

As board members, you are encouraged to provide honest, constructive feedback. You will need to provide your input by October 14. If you have any questions or concerns about evaluations, please do not hesitate to contact me. We appreciate your willingness to serve as a valued member of the Wildcat District Board of Directors.
