Cheri Nelsen is the 4-H Youth Development Agent specializing in Volunteer Development for the Wildcat Extension District. She is located in the district's Fredonia office.

Cheri began her employment in November of 1993 as the Agriculture and 4-H agent in Wilson County. She transitioned to 4-H Youth Development specializing in Volunteer Relations in July 2017 when Wilson County merged with Wildcat District.

Cheri grew up in central Oklahoma and was an active 4-H member there. Her favorite project was beef. She had the opportunity to attend National 4-H Congress and judged livestock at Louisville as part of the Oklahoma State 4-H team. Cheri earned her degree in Agriculture Education from Oklahoma State University. Cheri and her husband, Paul, have a small cattle operation in Fredonia. She has two children who were active 4-H members and they still enjoy volunteering.

Cheri enjoys watching 4-H members learn and grow with their experiences. She encourages members to take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way. She has coached winning livestock judging teams, one of which placed 3rd in Denver. She has also had several members serve on the state 4-H council. Cheri is always looking for ways to get more kids involved.
