Exciting times are here! The Wildcat Extension Education Foundation is holding its initial meeting in July. This foundation will help us make a difference on an entirely new level! It is imperative that we recognize that a truly effective foundation is much more than a sum of money set aside for philanthropic use. It is the carefully cultivated, ever-evolving product of an organization's vision and drive. The Wildcat Extension Education Foundation will be youth centered, but will also positively enhance our programming efforts in all of our areas of specialization.

The Wildcat Extension Education Foundation will be comprised of two members from every county located within the Wildcat Extension District. We are pleased to announce the following representatives will be part of our inaugural board:

Crawford County

Julie Smith, Girard

Dr. Mark Johnson, Pittsburg State University

Labette County

Dr. Kelli Allen, Parsons

Keith Geren, Altamont

Montgomery County

Jerry Hall, Sycamore

Julie Voelker, Independence

Wilson County

Sharon Frankenbery, Altoona

Marilyn Kidd, Fredonia

Also, a quick note to hold the date for our second Small Business: Big Ideas Workshop. The next workshop wiill be held on August 16, 2018 at Southeast Area Research and Extension Center in Parsons, KS.
