We had a very good talk with the director of the facility and a nice tour of the orchard and the fruit processing facility. Later on Thursday afternoon we had a guided tour (Dr. Barden serving as the tour guide) of the Arbor Day farm. Some of the group, including myself, also toured the historic Morton Mansion. We returned to Manhattan late Thursday; I decided to stay with my son in Kansas City instead of attempting a late night return home.
