Wildcat Connection January, 2019 | Page 3

This month’s Volunteer in the Spotlight has been volunteering for 32 years. Marilyn Kidd has been the leader of Homebuilders 4-H club since her children were members.

Marilyn has helped a lot of young people through the years overcome their fear of public speaking. She is always willing to help any member write a speech, create a food dish, or develop their leadership skills. Record books have always been Marilyn’s passion and she continues to help anyone that asks for help. She is great at looking over KAP’s and making additions, corrections, and many suggestions for making it better. She has helped a few state winners over the years.

Marilyn has served in many ways in extension through the year including: Being an extension board member, 4-H and Agriculture PDC member, and 4-H council member. She currently serves on the Wildcat Extension Education Foundation board. She is always willing to help out and looks for ways to help kids be successful in all endeavors.

Cheri Nelsen, 4-H Youth Development Agent notes, “The thing most appreciated about Marilyn is that when there is a problem or issue that arises, she doesn’t complain about it, but rather she looks for a solution and helps implement it. That is a rare find these days.”

Marilyn we salute you for your continued service.
