Mandy Marney joined K-State Research and Extension, Wildcat District in 2016 as District Director.

Marney made the move from University of Missouri, where she served as Program Director for the Agricultural Experiment Stations.

Marney brings years of research and extension experience, including work in Community Development. Her PhD in Human Environmental Sciences focused heavily on the relationship between place attachment and community involvement, and how that relationship impacts social capital in rural communities. She has a strong interest in assisting community members to create thriving, healthy communities.

In addition to her work as District Director, Marney is available to offer programming to communities in Community Development in the areas of community visioning, placemaking, board training, and more. If you are in need of Community Development assistance, please contact her at 620-724-8233; [email protected].
