4-H Youth Development

Leadership

his month I completed my Master’s Degree in Youth Development! I have learned a great deal and am looking forward to no more classes. I will soon be setting up a training session for club leaders that focuses on youth development as I really feel this will help them as they work with the youth in their clubs.

The state would like to offer project sheets to all the 4-H members, but especially new or potential members. 4-H Youth Development agents from both Wildcat Extension District and Cherokee County are working together to address several project areas. There is a template we will fill the information into that we feel is pertinent for people to know about that project.

These will be ready to share by spring.

Several of our faculty members in both Family & Consumer Sciences and 4-H will be jumping into the Afterschool Program at Meadow View when students return from Christmas break. This will run all semester and is on a two-week rotation, so we will be offering the same programs every two weeks the full semester.

We are looking forward to a wonderful New Year!
