DECEMBER IS TIME OF REFLECTION IN 4-h

members, volunteers, and leadership

ecember seems to be the month to reflect and recharge. Programming slows down in December some, so it seems to be a good time to catch up and make plans for the new year. I am working on some new programs in the new year. Wildcat District has been asked to do a program at the Neodesha after school program once a month. So I am making plans for that. The afterschool program is for kids kindergarten to sixth grade. Each month we will have 45 minutes for a program. In January we will have the kindergarten and 1st graders. Glad we can be part of this program. I am also working on doing a volunteer training for the district and plans are still in the works so more on that next month.

The 4-H clubs also take time to reflect in December. All the clubs here in Wilson County do something for Christmas. I know clubs have done floats for the Christmas parades, Christmas Caroling, food drives and many other things. These kids know what community service is all about and they do it with a smile.

I want to take a moment and wish everyone a Happy New Year! May 2018 be everything you need it to be.
