Busy Start to 2018

As you flip through pages of this month's Wildcat Connection, you can see that we are quite busy! There are trainings/meetings for youth and adults alike; make sure you take time to look through programs being offered near you and RSVP today.

You will soon see a new face in the Fredonia Office. Amanda McCormick will soon be joining us as the 4-H Office Professional. Amanda will manage day-to-day functions of the office as well as coordinate activities for 4-H agents. We are excited to have Amanda joining the Wildcat Team!

If you haven't heard of the new partnership between JOANN and 4-H, please take time to acquaint yourself with this fantastic collaboration. As our own Katie Townsend, 4-H Agent, reported on Facebook, "Exciting news! JOANN is partnering with 4-H to bring more hands-on programs to communities across the nation to inspire kids to lead lives with their hearts, hands and minds. 4-H members can save 15% off their purchases with 4-H Rewards." For more information, go this this link. You can also check out this post on Facebook.

We are working together across the district to develop the Wildcat District Extension Education Foundation. As a district, our goal is to establish bylaws to create a 501(c)3 foundation that work to make a positive difference in the lives of others by funding new and innovative youth development programs, adult education forums, and community development/entrepreneurship projects. Stay tuned as we work together on this worthwhile endeavor! We want to bring this project to fruition to begin helping all residents across the district.

How can we help you? We want to hear from you, the residents of Wildcat District! If you need a speaker or technical assistance, please contact either myself of one of our agents. We are here to help you!
