he past month has been busy with learning, planning, and preparing for 2018. I have been learning ropes of being an agent through trainings in Manhattan and meeting with my mentor from Shawnee county. With the support and guidance of my fellow 4-H agents in the district I have been able to hit the ground running.

Planning for 2018 summer camps has begun for Sunny hills 4-H camp as well as our Greenbush camp.

Planning and preparation for 4-H Club days is under way and will take place on February 24 at Girard High School. I am excited to be working with our Junior Leaders and assisting them with setting goals for the year. We also had four youth participate at area KAP judging this month. I have developed plan for outreach in the schools and community to expand the knowledge and visibility of 4-H Youth Development in the Wildcat District.

I had the opportunity to meet with staff at Greenbush to discuss and learn about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) opportunities for youth in our community. I am excited to be part of expanding our paw print in the Wildcat District with STEM 4-H Youth Development.
