Farmers’ Market Booth in Parsons

In July we hosted an informational booth at the Parsons Farmers’ Market where we offered canner dial gauge testing, food preservation fact sheets and conversations, as well as fruit and vegetable recipe cards and information. Our sample of the day was Poppy Seed Fruit Salad featuring watermelon and cantaloupe which were readily available at the market that day with some blueberries and kiwi to add variety and color. It has been great getting to know more of the local market directors and vendors and we hope to be able to be on site and offer information at more markets later this season.
