s the temperature starts to increase so do the activities. This has been an exciting month filled with a wide variety of activities going on. The Crawford Junior leaders had a very successful Pancake and Sausage Feed. The Junior leaders had a great time learning to make the sausage by hand. The youth were responsible for mixing, stuffing, prepping the sausage the day before. The Junior Leaders prepared food for and served over 230 people. Thanks to the generosity all the people who came out to support this they were able to raise over $1300. This was not only a great fundraising opportunity for the youth but it also provided opportunities that helped to develop the youth’s communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Being a new agent has provided me with many opportunities to learn so that I can better help and serve the youth in our community. I recently attend the Be Ag-Wise Workshops with Julie and Cheri where we learned ways to utilize STEM in agriculture. This workshop provided the learning opportunity to learn and connect with other professionals in the field of educating youth through STEM.

This month I have also been spending time attending club meetings in Crawford County. I have been attending these meetings introducing myself to the members, volunteers, parents, and families. This has provided me the opportunity to make connections, see what clubs are working on at this time, and to offer assistance as needed. With the warmer months approaching I am excited to increase my knowledge and experience working with youth.
