There is no shortage of activities to do in the outdoors in the fall seasons. Hunters shake off a year of rust and enter the forests looking to stock freezers up with quality meat. Other people are out as well, hiking and taking in the spectacular fall colours and enjoying the cooler days and nights.

Having the right gear for your adventure is a key to having fun. The staff at Ramakko’s Source for Adventure in Greater Sudbury have come up with The Five for Fall gear items that are new and hot and will also help with any activity you plan for the season.

Carry on

The Vorn series of hunting backpacks have been a hit in the industry for years and feature refined touches and enhancements to the standard hunting pack. At the forefront is the shoulder handle release feature and gun scabbard. This system carries the rifle and allows the owner to pull the handle, much like a ripcord on a parachute, : two latches instantly release the gun, swing it out from behind the hunter’s back in a blink of an eye, allowing them to be ready to shoot down game. It is fully adjustable, allowing for tall and short hunters to make use of the pack.

“This is the ultimate hunting backpack without question,” Ramakko’s manager Walter Boeswald said.
