Krystie is an English major from Laurentian University. Born and raised in Kenora, Ontario, she resides now in Greater Sudbury. Krystie enjoys camping, hiking and gardening.

Rebecca is a student in the Outdoor Adventure Leadership program at Laurentian University, and aspires to be an adventure journalist after graduation. In the summer, she works as a wilderness counsellor, guiding trips in Manitoba and northern Ontario. She loves to canoe, explore new places and take photos along the way
Shawn Whalen - writer
This pilot and former infantry soldier has spent a large portion of his life chasing adventure and getting high on fresh air. At 18, he certified as a wilderness survival instructor and has since taught and guided more than 200 people. Whalen, 28, is a family man raising two young girls and works as an emergency medical responder for a Sudbury mining company. He writes of his adventures, offers tips and tricks and shares his successes and failures of trying to integrate an adventurer’s lifestyle into a new (and growing?) family.
