Over 4 weeks I was heavily involved as a Networking intern. This meant generally assisting the IT team at Dumfries House and working on the IT systems for the whole of Dumfries Estate. I got to find out more about the whole IT system, from finance to social media. I’m totally focused now, and just INTERN want to get on and do UNIVERSITY it! It’s been a fantastic growing and learning INDUSTRY experience for me. Ayrshire College was local to me, and provides good courses. What I learned from my course ranged from routing technology, to basic troubleshooting to general technical support. I’ve learned so much in my time here. “I DIDN’T HAVE TO DO A PLACEMENT BUT I GOT OFFERED ONE.” My future plans are to continue my studies. I’ve got a place at Abertay University, where I will be studying towards an honours degree in Computing and Networking and eventually plan to work in the IT industry.
