WiFi Allow Texting During FLights

Airlines using GoGoAir connectivity for WiFi services during flights will not allow passengers to send text messages and stay connected when flights have reached 10,000 feet or more. Major airlines include Alaska, American, Delta, United, US Airways, Virgin Atlantic. Fees are far more pricey than Southwest with plans beginning at $25.95.

Southwest Airlines is first to allow use of WiFi from Gate to Gate

Southwest is the first airline to allow use of WiFi through taxi, takeoff and landing. Now tavelers who bring their WiFi enabled devices can stay connected through the entire flight. Hand-held devices may stay active during takeoff, but larger laptops etc. must be stowed for safety. $8 fee applies.
