LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Rafters Fans,

Welcome to Witter Field as we celebrate the Northwoods League’s 25th anniversary and the ninth season of action for the hometown Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.

The Rafters deserve recognition for having compiled an impressive string of victories with a record 52 wins in 2017, and also for winning the last four consecutive Northwoods League season halves. Congratulations to the Rafters organization for these amazing accomplishments. Not only is Witter Field where you will see some of the finest amateur baseball talent on the planet, it is also where you can enjoy a wonderful community of fans along with great food and beverage offerings. This year, the addition of two new food venues should further enhance your overall fan experience as well.

And, as veteran Rafters fans know, Witter Field was also the site of the Northwoods League All-Star Game in 2015 and was a great experience for our players and fans. Many thanks to your community for making it a resounding success. This year the Northwoods League will be holding its 25th Anniversary celebration and its 24th All-Star Game at Homer Stryker Field in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 24th and we hope you will consider attending the festivities around this important Northwoods League milestone.

I, along with owners Steve Schmitt, Vern Stenman, and General Manager John Fanta, hope you enjoy today’s Northwoods League action, sample some ballpark fare at the concessions stands, or pick up a souvenir to show your loyalty to Wisconsin Rapids’ hometown team. We hope you will come back often for the unique fan experience found at Witter Field and, as always, have a great time out with the Rafters!

Sincerely,

Gary Hoover

President
