Juno Week : where to spot celebs …

… While Sightseeing
byward market : This historic marketplace district is also home to chic boutiques , galleries , restaurants and live music venues that will be front and centre during Junofest . For example , visit Zaphod Beeblebrox and the mercury lounge to watch incredible performers , or spot Canadian music royalty in the audience .
chef ’ s choice : Located on Sparks Street , within walking distance of venues on Elgin Street , Bank Street and the Market , riviera is one of Ottawa ’ s new dining hotspots . The collaboration between two star local chefs serves an eclectic menu beneath a stunning high ceiling . It ’ s sister hot spots , el camino ( gourmet tacos ) and datsun ( Asian fusion ) attract attention only a short stroll away down Elgin .
château lafayette : The oldest tavern in Ottawa , serving the city since 1849 , it lays claim to being the capital ’ s “ original dive bar .” Local legend Lucky Ron has performed there every Saturday since 1999 . On the menu : the onomatopoeic Skwik Skwik ( deep-fried cheese curds with green peppercorn gravy ). The Lafayette ’ s casual charm even famously attracted Justin Bieber in 2016 ; the pop star made international headlines when his team ( temporarily ) failed to tip the server .
parliament hill : With Canada ’ s 150th birthday this year , musicians may flock to Parliament Hill to try and snap a selfie with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau . The PM could even return the favour at a Juno Week concert . ( Double Justin Warning : if Trudeau and Bieber are somehow captured in the same selfie , it could permanently break the Internet .)
