Out Side The House Born and raised in Colorado, Olive has been blessed with inspiration by the epic views of the Rocky Mountains to the vibrant culture of Denver. As a child she was encouraged a creative life from her parents and her alternative education schooling that cultivated a strong emphasis on community, travel, self reliance, and coexistence. Some of the first influencers linked to Olive’s broad style can be found in a collection of her favorite illustrated children books, in particular Animalia by Graeme Base. Olives style could be described as a combination of all things “outside the box” filled into one box! From cosmic visionary to surrealist contemporary, her work ranges from custom hand painted apparel, murals and canvases to jewelry fabrication and graphic design illustration. Incorporating her passion for gems and minerals has been a major theme of current works, along with supporting her fellow entrepreneurs by designing their business graphics. Olive’s work is a colorful dance through time and space inspired by stories of music, culture, natural landscapes, people and animals. Living, learning and loving through her art, being a full time artist is not just a means of surviving but thriving for her passion. Olive is mainly self taught with a Certificate from Red Rocks Community College in Graphic Design and Jewelry Fabrication. Pulling inspiration from the beautiful-mess that is this life, Olives wish is that her art may be an inspiration to keep the fire of child-like love and wonder, alive and wild in the world today! 62
