A mum of three , usually painting in Pyjamas , Hayley was born in Brisbane , Australia . After completing a bachelors degree in business , she went on to work for the next 8 years for non-profit organisations , helping people with disabilities join the work force . A self taught artist , Hayley painted her first piece of art at age two ( like the rest of us !), however the hobby continued as she painted for friends and family over the years . Her passion has since evolved , and she now supplies local gift stores with her artwork as well as completing online commissions .
The artist ’ s inspiration comes from local trees , plants , flowers and her everyday surroundings . Some of her latest works are what she likes to call botanical portraits , although she jokes they are more like caricatures ! The most enjoyable part of the creative process for Hayley is choosing and mixing the colours for each palette . Her botanical designs are simple , because its the colours that she wants to hero . She gravitates towards warm colours , pastels , and she often includes a splash of fluorescent pink .
