Where ART Lives Magazine Volume 4 Number 2 | Page 100

Sienna DelConte How often do you paint? How many hours a week? I am sometimes not able to spend as much time on art as I would like because of school, but generally I spend around 14 hours a week doing art. If I am not able to paint some days, I will make jewelry or stationery. How would you like to be remembered? I would like to be remembered as someone who loved to make this world a more beautiful place through creating art, as well as someone who embraced everyone she met, and who sought to bring joy and happiness to all. How do you know when a painting is finished? I know when my paintings are complete when nothing no longer seems unfinished or imperfect to me. When I paint, I always have this idea in my head of what I want the picture to look like, so I know I am done when the idea in my head looks like the painting I make. What is the most inspirational place you have visited to date? This might seem like a rather strange place to find inspiration, but in the new Neiman Marcus store in Fort Worth, Texas, are several magnificent pieces of art adorning the walls. Where would you take your dream vacation? My dream vacation would be to Monte Carlo or Santorini. I have wanted to go there for years as it is so extraordinarily beautiful and the colors of the landscape and buildings are jaw-dropping. What brings you the most joy in your life? My family and friends bring me the most joy. Although art has become part of my identify and something I want do every day, the wonderful people in my life have supported me and have gotten me to the places I am today. If you could talk about art with a deceased master artist, who would it be? I would enjoy talking with Kandinsky and to hear him describe the relationships he saw between colors and sound.
