Art on the Road Le Vieux Couvent, Frayssinet, France I had the luxury of travel in 2017, visiting four Caribbean islands, England, and finally, France. My time in France was pure bliss. After four days in Paris, I settled in at Le Vieux Couvent in Frayssinet, France for a painting workshop with master signature artist Nancy Medina. I had taken Nancy’s online courses, so was somewhat familiar with her, but I must say working with Nancy in person, not to mention experiencing the French towns and countryside with her as a guide was truly the experience of a lifetime. Nancy is a remarkable painting instructor, and one of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever met. I’m sure that all of my fellow classmates would agree. Le Vieux Couvent it’s a picturesque haven in rural southwest France. It’s a former 17th century convent with a charming central courtyard and offers beautiful accommodations in multiple buildings on the grounds. The rooms have been beautifully renovated, each with its own unique personality. Owners Corrine and Bill, along with their wonderful son Joel, have hosted painting holidays for artists from the around the globe for 20+ years, and have truly mastered creating the most magical of experiences for their guests. I could go on for hours about what now seems almost like a fairytale, but in- stead I will share with you some of my favorite images! -Kimberly Conrad Le Vieux Couvent is currently for sale. levieuxcouvent.com/lvc-for-sale levieuxcouvent.com/lvc-for-sale 28
