In what town and state is your art studio located? The studio is located in Dewey, Arizona. We are approximately 5500 feet above Sea level and 30 miles Southeast of Prescott. What is your favorite thing about your studio? I like the large windows and doors which allow sunlight to permeate the studio, and which provide a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. In addition, I like the 10 feet high ceilings which gives one a sense of space and allows for the storage of large canvases and other art supplies. Would you describe your studio as messy or neat? I consider my studio to be messy right in line with some of my messy painting! I constantly have to force myself not to create clutter. Is your studio located in or out of your home? The art studio was constructed as an additional space on to the house and de- signed specifically for that purpose. What do you do to set the creative mood in your studio before you begin creating art? Normally, I will first determine the type of music I would like to listen to as I paint. On the other hand, I will as often as not, select a movie I would like to watch. Yes, I can paint and still keep track of the plot as it unfolds. A bad habit? Maybe, but both the music and/or a movie help me create. Painting in the wild is another matter. 113
