Sharon Sieben How often do you paint? How many hours a week? I paint nearly every day, spending a lot of time doodling, sketching and trying new things. Not always, but usually generate a finished piece of work on a weekly basis. How would you like to be remembered? Creating work that may viewed by many people with a variety of interpretations. How do you know when a painting is finished? I don’t, and that sometimes causes me to over work a piece. It’s a challenge to get it right for me, so I try to stop short, knowing I can always add more later if the piece calls out to me. Do you have a favorite painting that you have collected by another artist? My favorite is a small original by Peter Max titled “It’s a better World” What is the most inspirational place you have visited to date? Montmartre. Where would you take your dream vacation? Paris for a Month. What brings you the most joy in your life? My Family and Music. If you could talk about art with a deceased master artist, who would it be? Picasso. sharonsieben.com 104
