What is your preferred medium?
Oil.
How often do you paint? How many hours a week?
On average I paint five days a week, from 4 to 6 hours each day. Occasionally, I’ll pick up the
brush for only an hour or two. When that happens I’ll watch an art DVD, look at an art magazine,
gesso panels, or clean the studio.
How do you know when a painting is finished?
Sometimes I just know and other times I could paint forever and it would never be finished.
Those are the times I put the painting away for a time and have a second look.
Where would you take your dream vacation?
In 2014 my husband and I visited France. I would like to go again with paints and easel and stay
several months.
What brings you the most joy in your life?
My family. I am blessed with my husband, three sons and daughters-in-law and nine
grandchildren that provide constant joy.
If you could talk about art with a deceased master artist, who would it be?
Any of the Impressionists painters would be very interesting to me.
