Letter from the Executive Director

Message from the Executive Director,

Welcome to the December edition of Wheel World News! I can't believe it's already the last month of the year! 2019 flew by so fast and it was an amazing year for the Association. We want to thank all our consumers and partnering organizations for making this year so special.

This month, our Spotlight Story is an overview of the Tempe Festival of Lights Parade in November. We had a great turnout this year! To read about the parade, please visit pages 3-4.

Even though it's a busy month with the holidays, there are still outreach/social events happening within the community this month. Read about all the upcoming events happening this December, including our Holiday Bingo Night, in the Current Events section on pages 5-6. On pages 7-9, be sure to read the article written by April Wiley on how to live a more content and secure life; it's a great read! Also, be sure to check out our featured professional of the month in the "Professional Profile" segment on pages 11-12, where we interviewed Christi Porter with Rehab Without Walls- NeuroSolutions.

Our newsletter is for you, our community. We would love to hear how you think we could improve, change, or add to our newsletter.

We are interested in anything you would like to share or comment on so please do not hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

As always, thank you to everyone who supports the Association throughout the year, we truly appreciate each and every one of you! We've had an amazing year and can not wait to see what 2020 brings.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. We will see you in 2020!
