Wheeling in Nature

Come out for a day of fun in the sun with us at the beautiful Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood, AZ. Fully accessible park and fishing docks , with paved trail around the lake. The cost is only $5.00 per person and that cost covers the entire day of activities, lunch and parking. Veterans/active duty reserve members are free. A BBQ lunch will be provided by J & K Outdoor Adventures. We will also have fishing, kayaks (provided by The Next Step), and games for the kids.

Advanced Wheelchair Skills Classes

October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 2019

Shorter hospital and rehabilitation stays may not allow enough time to learn important wheelchair skills, or changes through aging require a brush up course to learn new skills to remain independent.

Wheelchair skills are vital as they help prevent secondary conditions or isolation due to an inability to navigate our environment. It also teaches individuals to become more efficient in the usage of their wheelchair.

We host the Skills Classes two times a year, one in the fall and one in the spring. It is a four week class that meets once a week. For more information, contact us.
