On Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019, the Sanchez Family lives changed for the better. A few weeks prior, the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association received a call that a family that had an accessible van and no longer needed it. The Segall and Lipsitz Families wanted to donate their accessible van specifically to the Sanchez family because they had read their story on the internet that they were in great need of an accessible van for their daughter, Jenelle.

Through the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association's charitable donation program, the Segall and Lipsitz Families donated their 2008 Honda Odyssey to the Association, which then donated the van directly to the Sanchez family. When Jenelle saw her new van for the first time, the look on her face was filled with excitement and hopefulness. As for the parents of Jenelle, Savannah and Rigo, they were overjoyed with the van and knew their lives would be much easier knowing they had a reliable source of transportation for the whole family, and fit Jenelle's needs.
