Meet the Board
Daniel Clemente is the newest member of the AZSCIA Board of Directors. Read about who Daniel is and why he volunteers his time to serve on AZSCIA's board of directors.
Meet Daniel Clemente...
My name is Daniel Clemente and I am a T-12 paraplegic complete since an auto accident in 1993. I have one son and one granddaughter.
Since my injury I have played and coached wheelchair sport (Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rolling Rockies, Tucson Lobos and Phoenix Suns).
After attending the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association retreat in Payson, I became involved in peer mentoring. I have had the opportunity to work with individuals with recent injuries as well as people living with injuries for many years.
I have been involved with the community as Chase Field and Talking Stick Resort Arena Access committee Chair since 2013. I have had the privilege of serving as a community educator with the University of Arizona medical school and University of Northern Arizona. I have joined others from the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association in awareness days with local PT and OT college programs.
I feel my personal mission is to help those living with life challenges to be the best they can be. I hope through serving on the board I will be able to help more people in this community.
