& throwing them off their game plan which allows you time to either strike or in my case wheel away with plenty of time. Our pepper sprays contain 18% oleoresin capsicum that can spray from a distance of 16ft away and can take someone down for approximately 45 min or more. That $10 purchase (less than most meals) could potentially save your life. I have had to draw out my pepper spray once in a Walmart parking lot with my 2 daughters with someone who was persistently insisting on helping us load our groceries when we clearly had our situation under control. Once he saw it he immediately retreated and we quickly packed up and left. My biggest fear is someone kidnapping my children. With today’s human trafficking issue, the average age that a child is sold into sex slavery is age 12. I can’t even imagine what they must endure & I never want to hear those stories especially to someone I know. I still remember the stories I heard of sexual assaults from our group sessions at SCI workshops and it scared me enough to find ways to protect myself. If anyone is interested in either purchasing or joining this mission to protect others, please visit my website at https://www.mydamselpro.net/pro20000 or my Face book page Sharon Malone – Independent Pro Damsel in Defense. Below is our Warrior Creed that I believe everyone should read to themselves and know your self-worth.

“My life is valuable and WORTH THE FIGHT. Those who are with me deserve to be PROTECTED BY ME AS WELL. Denial DOESN’T make you safe. IN FACT, denial has negative side effects and can cause you to be UNPREPARED and INEFFECTIVE. PERSONAL SAFETY IS MY RESPONSIBILITY, I will make this investment in my life because MY LIFE IS WORTH THE FIGHT."

I was fortunate enough to attend a speech given by Elizabeth Smart who was kidnapped from her home & assaulted multiple times by her assailant at the age of 14. Her story of strength & courage to overcome that awful experience was inspiring to keep doing what I do and to educate others to empower themselves. She reminds us that the only true person you can & should rely on is yourself. That was her lesson to learn and we should feel empowered enough to feel that way too.

With the friendships I gained through the AZSCIA workshops I came to realize that nothing is impossible if you have the warrior mindset. Aside from the Damsel in Defense, currently I am the mentor for AZSCIA, Ability360, & St, Joseph Hospital. I was designated as the AZ ambassador to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation as well as recently being elected to the Board of Directors with AZSCIA so I am extremely blessed to be part of a true family & community.
