During all this, we also like to educate. Not only those directly affected by an injury but others as well. People like professionals already in the field such as doctors, nurses, CNA's as well as new PT and OT students still in college, the families of those who have been injured, along with the general public. It is our thought that life does not end after injury, it's a new beginning.

This type of work has deeply affected me as a person. Learning that each and every one of us are very different even though we may have the same injury level. Learning that each one of us can only move forward when we are ready to. Seeing how people become more empowered after joining us for our events. Seeing someone uneasy getting into a kayak and coming back with a big smile now knowing they can do it too. Having someone pick up a pistol for the first time to taking classes to carry one. I have seen people come out of their "shell" so to speak and become a full person again. With help from others, I have been blessed to have become the person I am. I now plan to pass that along and help others find themselves once again.
