Message from the Executive Director,
Welcome to the April edition of Wheel World News. Spring is finally here which means it's time to get out and interact with the community! In this edition, we have plenty of events going on this month to check out and attend.
Last month, we had our 3rd Annual Push Forward Conference, an all-day interactive conference for individuals with spinal cord injuries, family members, caregivers, and professionals. With over 100 people in attendance, this year was a success! We loved having everyone come together to learn, bond, and have fun. We'd like to thank all of our speakers and vendors for taking the time to be there as it would be impossible without you. This April, we are bringing back Wheelchair Skills classes that you won't want to miss! To read about the upcoming Wheelchair Skills classes and also other current events happening this month, please visit pages 4-5.
We recently just had a new member join the AZSCIA Board of Directors, Sharon Malone. Read about who she is and why she dedicates her time to serve on the board on pages 20-21.
