Message from the Executive Director,
Welcome to the March edition of Wheel World News. March is the busiest month here at AZSCIA as we have our 3rd Annual Push Forward Educational Conference coming up right around the corner!
Push Forward is an all-day interactive conference for individuals with spinal cord injuries, family members, caregivers, and professionals. With over 13 breakout sessions, raffle prizes, and various vendors from the community, this is an experience you won't want to miss out on. To read more about the upcoming conference, please read pages 2-3. There are many exciting events going on within the disability community this month as well. To see all the current events happening this month, please visit pages 4-6.
This month for our "Consumer Corner" segment, we are highlighting Donna Powers. Be sure to check out pages 10-13 to read her personal story. We have a new section in our newsletter, "Professional Profile", where we will be highlighting a different professional that works within the SCI community. Seth Haynie is our professional for March. Be sure to read how he contributes to the community on pages 14-16.
