Shorter hospital and rehabilitation stays may not allow enough time to learn important wheelchair skills, so we are offering this half day conference to PT/OT students to help you better understand the importance of proper wheelchair use and learn skills you can then pass on to your clients/patients.

Don’t Be A Victim- Self Defense for
Wheelchair Users

The City of Phoenix, the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association and Ability 360 Sports and Fitness Center present a special edition of this self-defense class! Instructor, Jui Chiu, will show users how to get out of a choke hold, the importance of being aware of your surroundings, and how to use your wheelchair as a self-defense mechanism in an attack. Class is exclusively for people who regularly use wheelchairs for mobility. This class will be the first of four sessions. We hope to see you there!
