The endowment contains those assets of the
College permanently invested to support College
programs. The purpose of the endowment is
to generate a dependable stream of income
and provide a reserve of institutional resources.
The investment objective is to maximize total
return over the long term within acceptable risk
parameters.
The endowment increased 13% to $352.5
million as of June 30, 2013. The increase was
driven by 15% investment returns and $8.7
million of gifts and net transfers, partially offset
by $14.8 million of spending withdrawals.
Endowment per student increased to $125,269
compared to $112,928 as of June 30, 2012.
