A day in the life of... ROMANIA A Photographer By Michael Photography has been around for quite a few decades now, as a hobby or as a job. However, it is true that not until recently has it become a more accessible passion for the ordinary person. Ever since the digital era, which started in 1991, photography started to change drastically. People argue that the digitalization of photography might not have been such a good thing, because nowadays everyone that owns a decent DSLR calls himself a photographer and because film photography will always be superior. But let’s not talk about that now. Let me show you exactly how a day in the life of a photographer feels like. We usually start our day by waking up. Pretty cool, huh? Well, leaving jokes aside, we sometimes have to wake up pretty early in order to catch good light ( both the sunrise and the sundown offer softer shadows, therefore making it perfect for natural light photography ). Now that I really think about it, there’s not that much action in this domain of activity. Sure, I get to meet all kinds of models and stuff and the time I spend shooting photos is quite fun, but most of my time as a photographer I spend at home, in front of my computer. The postprocessing involved with digital photography takes quite a lot of time to get done. I have to spend about 5 hours to edit for every 1 hour of shooting. Let me show you what I mean. (for this article, I will only be using self-portraits) I mostly like shooting people, but I also take photographs of other stuff at times. These photos were taken recently.
