Awards. In the end of the decade another
MC’s brought out like: Rapsodos Filologos,
Reason – Threat, Ladose, Psyxodrama,
Detro, Bong Da City, FullFace etc.
The expansion of the internet helped
many MC’s to spread their music through
wedsites for video such as YouTube and
web sited for rap like hiphop.gr and
bouriblog.com. Some of them are
acceptable but some are badly criticized
because not all the people like rap. The
Greek rap today is increased to because
nowadays there is a big number of artists
and young people who starts to occupy
with rap DJ – ing and make bands,
contrary to the decade of 90s when the
number of artist was small. Many of them
release their record works through the
internet or make their music
known
through YouTube. There are many who
release disk through record companies.
Finishing we want to point out that the
Greek rap is known to us because
nowadays the most common music which
many teenagers especially in our age are
used to listen to rap in Greece. The lyrics
which Greek rappers use have a deep
sense because they talk about the life and
that is because all the teenagers like the
Greek rap.
It makes them feel more free and
especially it makes them see the world
differently. In this way they learn what is
fair and what is not, they learn what is
true and what is not. All these are too
important for a teenager’s life!
Macklemore!

His real name is Ben Haggerty and he was
born in 19 June 1983.He started
independently emancipated music in 2000
and now he is working with the producer
Ryan Lewis, with the violist Andrew Jaslyn,
and with the trumpeter Owuor Arunga.
Macklemore was born and grew up in Seattle,
Washington.He was presented at Garfield
High School
and Nathan Hale High
School and went to earn a university degree
from The Evergreen State College.
Interest for the achievement of a new
generation through hiw music , was a part of
a program with emphasis in the identity of
education, called ”Gates for Imprisoned
Young People”, where it is facilitated by
music studios.
Although, he wasn’t born in a musician
family, both of his parents were supportive to
his musical business.Macklemore’s first time
he came up with hip hop, with the way of
Digital’s Underground, was at the age of 6.
Macklemore started writing lyrics when he
was 14. His first official full-length album
released in January 2005. In Octomber 2010,
he worked with the producer Ryan Lewis in
order to create the Vs.Redux EP.
Macklemore used his experience with
substances abuse, for the creation of his
thrylic song mixtape ”Otherside”.
Macklemore struggled with substance abuse
problems, he had in the past (2005-2007).
But after 2008, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
became a cooperative unit. He appeared as a
typical artist for the Physics’s song ”Good” in
2009. He celebrated 2 years from his sobriety
at the beginning of August 2010, as he stated
during his execution at Capitolio Block
Party 2010. Macklemore met Ryan Lewis for
first time in 2006. Lewis was working for
some years as Macklemore’s photographer.
Macklemore has a brother , Tim Haggerty,
who is working in a Junior High School as
an english teacher. Finally, Macklemore is a
huge fan of baseball.
Macklemore’s discography consists of two
studio albums, three theatrical plays, one
mixtape, eleven singles and twelve music
videos.
