The best movie ever?

“The ship that cannot sink, but that sank on the maiden voyage” is probably what most
people think about when they hear the name Titanic. Winning 11 Oscars, James
Cameron’s movie is considered as one of the greatest movies ever made. The movie
came out in 1997, and Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet had the leading roles as Jack
and Rose who meet each other on Titanic’s maiden voyage and end up falling in love,
but, as everyone knows, the story does not end well. Then why is it considered as one of
the best movies ever?
What probably is the most important reason why people love this movie is the forbidden
love between the two social classes, which is what the movie is about. However, what
really makes it a good movie is the fact that the love story seems to be all happy and
nothing is wrong, until the ship hits the iceberg, and Jack dies. It is all sad and tragic,
and on account of this the movie gets a good story since it is not a happy ending.
One reason is that the director, James Cameron, did research on this movie for about
four years before he started to write the script. He went to the shipwreck several times,
and in the movie, every detail is perfection. The details make a movie, if the details are
bad, the movie becomes bad too. For this reason, James Cameron wanted to know
everything about the ship before he made the movie. This is the reason for why it is
such a great movie, because the director was interested in in the event the movie is
based on, and therefore every little detail is down to perfection.
One of the other reasons is the actors. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet make the
whole movie real, and bring it to life. The chemistry between the actors really comes
forward in the movie, and this makes it to a great movie. If the movie had other actors,
it would not be the same, because Leonardo and Kate play their parts so well, and they
make the characters seem real.
