Eurobasket 2013

European basketball championships,
popularly called Euro Baket was
organised in Slovenia from 4th to 22nd of
September. 24 national teams
participated in Slovenia, including the
Croatian team.
Croatian roster was: Roko Leni Uki?,
Bojan Bogdanovi?,Damir Markota, Luka
Žori?, Ante Tomi?, Ante Delaš, Mario
Delaš, Lukša Andri?, Kruno Simon,
Damjan Rudež with coach Jasmin Repeša.
The Croatian national team was in group
with Spain, Georgia, Poland, Slovenia and
Czech Republic. After loss of -28 in the
first game, Croatia made 8 wins in a
row,including the matches in the second
round against Greeca, Finland and Italy,
the quarterfinal match against Ukraine
and in the end finished fourth. In the
semifinal,Croatia lost against Lithuania
and in the bronze medal match versus
Spain. France and Lithuania met in the
final and France won.
Croatian team was very happy because
they brought basketball back in Croatia,
but at the same time they were
disappointed because of not winning
medal. There was euphoria in Croatia
during the EuroBasket .
Croatian player Bojan Bogdanovi? was
included in the best team of the
championship.
