What you can see in... SWEDEN Liseberg by Elin, Nathalie and Angelinne Liseberg is the biggest amusement park in the Northern Europe with about three million visitors per year. It’s placed in Gothenburg and only around Christmas the park has around half a million visitors! The park was inaugurated and opened in 1923 and in year 2010 Liseberg was the most popular place to visit in Sweden. Today you can visit the park from the end of April till the middle of October, and from the middle of November till New Year. In the summer there are about 35 amusement rides open and the most popular is the “Lisebergbanan” (in English: “The roller coaster of Liseberg”) which is one of the oldest rides. Balder is the biggest ride in the Northern Europe which is built entirely in wood and was opened in 2003. The ride has won many awards, for example “The best wooden ride in the world” and “European Star Awards” which is for Europe’s best roller-coaster in wood. Flume ride is another popular ride at Liseberg, and it consists of logs and water. It starts out calm and peaceful but then there are two steep downhills that make the water splash all over you. In the last and most steep downhill, a camera snaps a photo of your moment of fear and the result is usually a very funny photo of you and your friends.  https:// www.youtube.com/watch? feature=player_embedded&v =aoZI23O5_Lw Video:
