What you can see in... ROMANIA The Carpathian Wonder by Bianca and Carmen Prahova Valley is a tourist region situated about 100 km north of the capital city of Bucharest . Prahova Valley attracts tourists coming from all over the country, and abroad year after year. This area combines the existence of three essential elements: the beauty of the mountain, many mountain resorts suitable for both winter sports and hiking in the other seasons and sights that make up an important part of the cultural heritage of the country. Firstly, I’m going to present some of the beautiful tourist attractions . Busteni, located at an altitude of 900 metres is a major tourist center of Prahova Valley , offering spectacular views to mountain lovers. The resort offers the possibility to practice winter sports at the Kalinderu ski slope, both for beginners and for those medium and advanced level ski chairlift and is equipped with floodlights. From a height of 2291 metres, the Cross, a monument with a steel structure, 40 metres tall, built in memory of the heroes who died in WWI, watches above the city. The Cross is illuminated at night, and the view is spectacular.
