Autumn in Romania
By Bianca and Ionescu
It is autumn again and the fruits of the
Earth have been gathered to fill the barns
and storehouses for the coming winter.
Sunflower, grapes, wheat and maize,
plums, apples and walnuts are now ready
to be turned into sweet liquors or jams
that remind one of the plentiful summer.
Autumn fair
Autumn fairs are held in Romanian cities
each year in September. On the first day
of the event, the city centre begins to
!
smell like
pastrami,
cheese,
traditional plum drink, grape must and
many other dishes, which are 100% fresh
and natural. It’s impossible to resist!
The fall fair this year is a rich one, giving
us quality produce. There are also folk
music concerts and dances to accompany
the event
